 ~ Ownership ~

All the firearms on this website are classified as antique in the UK and Northern Ireland. Antique arms and arms of obsolete calibre are exempt under "section 58 (2) of the 1968 Firearms Act to be held as a curiosity or ornament", see Chapter 8, Antique Firearms, Page 53 of the Home Office Guide on firearms licensing law dated April 2016. No certificate is therefore required for ownership in the UK or Northern Ireland provided they are held as a curiosity or as ornaments. The antique firearms on this website are also classified as Historical and Collectible Weapons and Category 8 Firearms in The Weapon Categories of the Defence Code (Article L-2331-1) under French Firearms Regulations. Therefore, they do not require a licence for ownership in France. All antique firearms on this site are sold strictly as a curiosity or ornament for their historical significance.
